37th death anniv of Dr Ibrahim observed

JOYPURHAT, Sept 6: The Joypurhat Diabetic Association organised various programmes on Sunday to mark the 37th death anniversary, observed as “Service Day,” of National Professor Dr Muhammad Ibrahim.

A memorial meeting and prayer gathering were held on the premises of Joypurhat Diabetic Hospital in the Babupara area of Joypurhat town. Free diabetes testing was also provided as part of the observance.

Professor Aminur Rahman Bakul, Vice-President of the Joypurhat Diabetic Association, chaired the memorial meeting. Speakers highlighted the life and contributions of National Professor Dr Mohammad Ibrahim. 

Other speakers included SM Shams Matin, General Secretary of the Joypurhat Diabetic Association, Dr Sheikh Mamun Ishaq, a physician at the diabetic hospital, and Dewan Badiuzzaman, an executive committee member of the District Diabetic Association.

More than 200 underprivileged and disadvantaged men and women received free diabetes tests as part of the programmes marking the 37th death anniversary of National Professor Dr Muhammad Ibrahim.
