Students must stand against injustice, says LGRD minister

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan has urged students to remain vocal against injustice, oppression and persecution while continuing their studies and academic responsibilities.

He made the remarks while addressing a discussion at the Bangla
Academy premises in the capital on Wednesday on the occasion of the Zia Smriti Book Fair 2026 as the chief guest.

Dr Moyeen said students should come forward whenever the country faces a crisis, recalling their important role during critical periods in Bangladesh’s history.
