Heinous crime: Rizvi

BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday condemned the attack on actress Azmeri Haque Badhon in Italy, calling it a “heinous and disgraceful crime”.

He also urged people across political lines to stand united against violence against women.

Rizvi made the remarks while speaking to journalists on Wednesday after paying tribute at the graves of BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia at Chandrima Udyan in the capital. The programme was organised by the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal.

“Those who attack women are cowards,” Rizvi said.
