Bangladesh Medical Tourism Foundation makes international debut

The Bangladesh Medical Tourism Foundation (BMTF) made its international debut at Sanjeevani 2026, an international healthcare and medical tourism conference in New Delhi, India.

Organised by India’s Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the September 7-9 event brought together healthcare professionals, policymakers and industry representatives from 39 countries.

BMTF President Mohammad Murad Hossain, also known as Murad Emadi, represented Bangladesh at the event and introduced the foundation, highlighting its plans to promote cross-border healthcare cooperation, ethical medical value travel and Bangladesh’s medical tourism sector.

The Bangladesh delegation included BMTF Secretary General Md Shahadat Rashid (Apon) and governing board members Kawsarul Haque Khan, Mushfiqur Rahman, Nishat Afroz Dina, Fazle Elahi and Robin Lal, among others.

BMTF presented honorary crests to SEPC Chairperson Dr Upasana Arora, Director General Dr Abhay Sinha, Senior Director Chandranshu Awasthi and Foundation of Healthcare and Wellness Promotion of India President Dalip Kumar Chopra for their contributions to healthcare and medical value travel.

Speaking at the event, Murad Emadi said BMTF would work to strengthen institutional cooperation between Bangladesh and India and expand international collaboration in healthcare, wellness and medical value travel.

He said the foundation also aims to strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global medical tourism sector through international partnerships, investment and knowledge exchange.
