Three-month drive to fight dengue in Pabna's Chatmohar

A three-month-long ‘Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign’ has commenced in Chatmohar, Pabna, mirroring the initiativehappening nationwide.

The program was launched simultaneously across the country on Saturday morning (September 12) following a formal inauguration by the Prime Minister at the South Plaza of the National Parliament House.

Officials from the Upazila administration and representatives from various walks of life joined from Chatmohar virtually to participate in the inauguration ceremony.

Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Musa Naser Chowdhury, the inaugural event was attended by Dr Humayun Kabir (RMO, Upazila Health Complex), Chatmohar Press Club President Rakibur Rahman Tukun, former President Helalur Rahman Jewel, Headmasters Khurshid Alam Milon and Kazi Rabiul Islam, Puja Celebration Council President Ashok Chakraborty, as well as municipal sanitation workers and officials and staff from various government departments.

Under this campaign, various activities will be implemented, including identifying and destroying potential dengue breeding sites across the Upazila, conducting regular cleanliness drives, taking necessary measures to prevent mosquito proliferation and raising awareness among the general public about preventing dengue.
