Ed Sheeran’s US tour has been thrown into uncertainty after all four of his support acts withdrew following Macklemore’s removal from the tour over his pro-Palestinian comments.

Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas, Irish acts Aaron Rowe and Beoga, and Danish singer Lukas Graham have all pulled out in solidarity with Macklemore.

Tour promoters removed Macklemore after he made pro-Palestinian remarks during two performances.
Sheeran said he would not publicly share his views on the Israel-Gaza conflict. However, he said he wanted his concerts to remain places of “safety and sanctuary” for people of all ethnicities, faiths and backgrounds.

The British singer also said he was not responsible for Macklemore’s removal. He had been working with promoters and billionaire Robert Kraft to find a solution.

Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots and Gillette Stadium, where Sheeran is scheduled to perform, had called for Macklemore to be removed. He accused the rapper of having a history of what he described as antisemitic rhetoric and imagery that had offended and hurt the Jewish community.
