Another oil tanker has come under attack in the Strait of Hormuz, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said.

Reuters reported the incident, although details of casualties or damage were not immediately available.

Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for an attack on a Togo-flagged tanker in the strait, accusing the vessel of attempting to pass through the waterway without authorization.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, saying Washington is nearing a major decision regarding the country and warning that “anything could happen” in the next step.

The development comes amid continued tensions over the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil shipping route.

Separately, South Korea has rejected calls to send troops to support the US war against Iran.

President Lee Jae Myung said Seoul would not deploy military personnel or assets in a way that would draw the country into the conflict, although the government is considering a greater role in safeguarding navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
