A story of a child growing up without his mother’s affection and yearning for maternal love is winning the hearts of viewers. The drama ‘Apon Por’, directed by Rubel Hasan and written by Mesbah Uddin Suman, has drawn a strong emotional response from audiences.

Released on CMV’s YouTube channel on September 15, the drama has already crossed 8.6 million views. More than 80,000 viewers have liked the production, while the comment section has also seen nearly 3,500 responses. Many viewers said they became emotional while watching the drama, with some saying they were moved to tears.

The story revolves around Rifat, who loses his mother at an early age and grows up longing for affection from his stepmother. As he grows older, his desire to be accepted and loved as her own son becomes increasingly intense.

Despite his efforts, Rifat never receives the affection he has longed for, leaving him emotionally devastated. Later, he makes a major sacrifice to fulfil one of his mother’s wishes, becoming the emotional turning point of the story.
