David Rush, a resident of Idaho in the United States, has set an unusual world record by transferring ice cubes from one container to another using only his mouth, without touching them with his hands.
Rush, who is also known for holding an extraordinary number of Guinness World Records, said he initially thought the challenge of moving the most ice within 30 seconds would be relatively easy, given his previous experience with mouth-based record attempts.
His earlier achievements include catching marshmallows with his mouth and launching ping-pong balls using the same technique.
Under Guinness World Records rules, each ice cube could weigh no more than 25 grams (0.88 ounces). Rush carefully measured the water to ensure that the cubes met the weight limit.
However, maintaining the correct temperature of the ice proved to be the biggest challenge. Ice that was too cold could stick to his lips, while warmer ice could melt and alter its weight.
During his official attempt on June 12, Rush transferred a total of 991 grams (34.9 ounces) of ice between two trays, comfortably exceeding the target and securing the new world record.
