End of an era: ‘Emily in Paris’ wraps final season

Production on the sixth and final season of Emily in Paris has officially wrapped, with star Lily Collins bidding farewell to the series in an emotional social media post.
Collins shared a photo of herself sitting in a director’s chair marked “Fin” and reflected on her years playing the titular character.
“It was impossible to find the words for what this journey has meant to me,” she wrote, describing Emily as a character who had been part of her life for years and continued to “surprise, inspire, and challenge” her.
She thanked creator Darren Star for creating the optimistic American character who finds herself outside her comfort zone while building a new life in Paris. Collins also expressed gratitude to the cast, crew and fans.
“I will carry this chapter with me forever,” she wrote. “Saying goodbye feels completely surreal and bittersweet, but mostly, I feel so incredibly proud and grateful that I got to be her.”
The final season will take Emily to several European destinations, including Greece, as she faces major choices involving her career and relationships.
According to Netflix’s official synopsis, Emily will confront unexpected career conflicts and changing relationships that force her to reconsider where her future lies, ultimately facing a choice between her career, her heart and the life she has built in Paris.
Season 6 of Emily in Paris is set to premiere on Netflix on December 24.
