New director general appointed to Fire Service and Civil Defence

Brigadier General Sultanul Afreen Junaid has been appointed as the new director general of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Directorate.

The government has also repatriated the incumbent director general, Brigadier General Mohammad Zahed Kamal, to the Bangladesh Army.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification to this effect on Tuesday.

The appointment is part of a change in the leadership of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Directorate.
