Police bust imo hacking hub hidden inside pigeon coop in Natore

Police in Lalpur, Natore, have arrested Ohidul Mollah (32), the alleged ringleader of a widespread "Imo hacking gang," along with five of his associates, despite his efforts to evade detection by installing 20 CCTV cameras around his house.
The arrests were made during a late-night drive on Monday (September 21). The suspects were sent to jail by a court on Tuesday afternoon (September 22).
Ohidul, son of Robbel Mollah from Mohorkoya village in Bilmaria Union, was known locally as the "Imo Sardar" and allegedly operated a network of several hundred hackers in the area.
According to police, Ohidul set up a secret operating hub inside a room designed to look like a pigeon coop within his walled residential compound. Behind the facade of the pigeon loft, the room was fitted with modern furniture, air conditioning, and a monitoring center for his 20 security cameras.
Investigators recovered nine mobile phones and 68 SIM cards used for illegal hacking operations. Police stated that Ohidul used code symbols to track compromised digital wallet accounts, including Bkash and Nagad, and traveled with bodyguards on expensive motorcycles.
Lalpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam confirmed the incident, stating that Sub-Inspector Al Masum filed a case under the Cyber Protection Act.
The six arrested individuals—Ohidul Mollah (32), Md Sabbir Hossain (23), Md Motakabbir Ali (23), Md Shukur Ali (50), Muktar Hossain (34), and Md Alamin (23)—have all been remanded to judicial custody by the court.
