Teen's decomposed body found in Dhaka's Shyampur

Police recovered the partially decomposed body of an unidentified teenage boy from an abandoned room of a public toilet in Shyampur of Dhaka, on Friday morning.

The boy, believed to be around 16, was found at a toilet room beneath the Jurain Railway Bridge.

The body was later sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy after completion of the necessary legal procedures.

Shyampur Police Station Sub-Inspector Mohammad Kamal Hossain confirmed the matter.

He said, ''there was a visible injury mark on the boy’s right forehead. He was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, but the original colour of the clothing could not be determined because the body was partially decomposed."

Police suspect the boy may have died from the injury, but the exact cause of death will be known after receiving the autopsy report.
