B'desh, Pakistan discuss textile trade cooperation

Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) President Mohammad Hatem received Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider at the BKMEA office in Dhaka on Sunday (September 27) for a bilateral meeting with the BKMEA.

Several BKMEA directors were also present at the meeting.

The discussions focused on organising activities under the MoU between BKMEA and the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA), as well as joint business-to-business meetings.

Hatem invited Pakistani companies to participate in the upcoming Bangladesh International Textile, Knitting and Garment Industry Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Dhaka in January 2027, to deepen supply-chain synergies between the two countries.

High Commissioner Imran Haider assured the BKMEA president of all possible cooperation to enhance bilateral trade and commercial collaboration.
