National Life Insurance pays Tk 7.65cr in claims at managers’ confce

National Life Insurance Company, one of the country’s leading life insurers, organised a managers’ conference at Hotel Long Beach in Cox’s Bazar and paid insurance claims worth around Tk 7.65 crore to customers.

Company Chairman Tofazzal Hossain attended the event as the chief guest, while Chief Executive Officer Md Kazim Uddin chaired the conference. Economist and Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) Chairman Professor Abu Ahmed attended as the guest of honour.

Directors Brigadier General (retd) Md Masud Hossain, Bilkis Nahar, Razia Sultana, NLI Securities Chairman Barrister Redwan Hossain, Mahmud Habib Zaman and Shahinur Minhaj Chowdhury were present as special guests.

DMD and CFO Prabir Chandra Das FCA, DMDs Md Abul Kasem and Bahar Uddin Majumder, and Takaful Central Coordinator GM Helal Uddin also spoke at the programme.

Tofazzal Hossain said National Life settles customers’ claims on time. He said the company invests premium income in industries and businesses through banks and financial institutions, as well as in government bonds, contributing to economic development and employment generation.

Professor Abu Ahmed said insurance provides financial and asset security and expressed optimism that National Life would maintain its success.

CEO Md Kazim Uddin said the company delivers insurance payments to customers at their doorsteps, helping strengthen public confidence. He also said timely initiatives by IDRA to settle customers’ claims would help restore confidence in the insurance sector.
