Obituary

Prof Dr Md Kayem Uddin passed away at his residence in Mirpur, Palash Nagar, on August 27, 2026. 

He served as Dean of the Department of Business Administration at Khulna University in 1997 and Executive Director of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) in 1996. He was also a visiting teacher at the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and taught at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Shanto-Mariam University and other private universities. He also served as an adviser to the World Bank.

He was buried at the Palash Nagar Mosque graveyard.
