Police detained 549 people in a three-day drive against juvenile crime in Lakshmipur.
On Thursday night, police detained 99 people in five police stations and the Detective Branch. Of them, 86 were released on bonds, while 13 were shown arrested in cases and sent to court.
Earlier, 184 people were detained on Tuesday night, with 159 released on bonds and 25 sent to court. On Sunday night, 266 were detained, of whom 215 were released into their guardians’ custody and 51 were sent to court.
Additional Superintendent of Police Hossain Mohammad Raihan Kazemi said joint drives are being conducted across six police stations to curb juvenile gangs and crime. The operations will continue, he said, urging parents to remain vigilant about their children.
