The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has extended the deadline for applications for new gazette enlistment as freedom fighters until October 7.
The ministry issued a public notice on Thursday, urging interested applicants to submit their applications within the extended deadline. No new applications will be accepted after October 7.
The ministry said applications for enlistment as freedom fighters had previously been received and scrutinised at different times. Applicants’ roles during the Liberation War, relevant documents and other information are verified through the prescribed process.
The verification process follows rules through the National Liberation Fighters Council (JAMUKA) and relevant administrative authorities.
The ministry urged interested individuals to submit their applications within the deadline and follow the relevant instructions.
