RAJBARI, Oct 4: A five-day training programme for industrial entrepreneurs has begun here under an initiative of the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC).

The training was inaugurated on Sunday afternoon at the training room of the BSCIC Industrial Estate office. Rajbari Additional Deputy Commissioner Tariful Hasan formally opened the programme as chief guest while Chayan Biswas, assistant general manager of BSCIC, chaired the event.

Among those present were President of the BSCIC Industrial Estate Owners Association Kazi Benazir Ahmed, General Secretary Masudur Rahman, and BSCIC Estate Officer Hafizur Rahman.

In his remarks, Hasan said there is no substitute for skill development for industrial entrepreneurs. He said the training would help entrepreneurs acquire the knowledge and skills needed to expand their businesses.

He also stressed the importance of maintaining good relations and cooperation between factory owners and workers for industrial development. A combination of skilled workers and modern management, he said, can increase production while improving the overall quality of industrial operations.
