Dear Sir,
The gradual rise in the prices of food, shelter, clothing, medical care, transport and other necessities is putting huge economic pressure on the lower and middle classes. As expenses rise without a corresponding increase in income, people’s purchasing capacity declines. Many families may be forced to reduce their consumption of meat, fish, fruits, milk and other nutritious foods, which can cause malnutrition among children, women and elderly people.
Rising prices can also hamper education as families struggle to meet essential expenses. People find it difficult to save for the future and may become increasingly dependent on debt. Prolonged financial pressure can also lead to dissatisfaction, depression and social and mental stress.
Therefore, it is important to control the rise in prices and ensure that essential commodities remain affordable. The government must take effective measures to ease the economic burden on lower- and middle-income families and ensure a normal life for ordinary people.
