India outlines process for Hasina’s return

India has said the return of former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina is a legal matter and that the relevant legal process will be followed.

Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal made the remarks at a regular briefing on Wednesday in response to questions about Hasina’s repatriation.

“We want a positive, constructive and forward-looking relationship with Bangladesh, and discussions are progressing on that basis,” he said.
