DMP reshuffles eight police inspectors

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has reshuffled eight unarmed police inspectors, including officers serving as officers-in-charge (OCs) of several police stations.

The changes were announced in an office order signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Thursday (October 8).

Under the order, Dhanmondi Model Police Station’s Inspector (Investigation) Md Jalal Uddin was transferred and appointed as OC of Pallabi Police Station, while Pallabi OC Md Hasan Basir was transferred to the Special Response Unit (SRU) of the Counter Terrorism Investigation Division.

Inspector (Investigation) AB Siddiq of Jatrabari Police Station was appointed OC of Rupnagar Police Station, replacing Md Noman Hossain, who was transferred to the SRU of the City-Cyber Crime Investigation Division.

Meanwhile, Mir Rezaul Islam was transferred from Shah Ali Police Station to Rampura Police Station as Inspector (Investigation). Rampura Inspector (Investigation) Bahalul Khan was transferred to the DB-Tejgaon Division.

Mir Md Sazzad Hossain, an inspector of the DB-Wari Division, was posted as Inspector (Investigation) at Shah Ali Police Station, while Jatrabari Police Station’s Inspector (Operations) AKM Moin Uddin was transferred as Inspector (Investigation) at the same station.

The order said the transfers were made in the public interest and would take effect immediately.
