A German tourist has recovered his stolen laptop after Bangladesh Police retrieved the device from Natore, six days after it went missing at Natore Railway Station.

Inspector General of Police Md Ali Hossain Fakir handed over the laptop to Kirill Lander-Weber at Police Headquarters on Tuesday morning.

The laptop was stolen on October 7 while Kirill was waiting at the railway station to travel to India through the Darshana border. Police recovered the MacBook from a clothing store in Natore Sadar around 9:30PM on October 11 following a joint operation by several police units.

According to a police press release, Kirill thanked Bangladesh Police for recovering the device, which contained important documents and records of his activities over the previous six months.

The IGP also rewarded two Natore police officers for their role in recovering the laptop.
