Dear Sir,
The rising cost of living has become a serious challenge for small businesses in Bangladesh. Higher prices of raw materials, transportation and rent are increasing operating costs, while customers are becoming more cautious about their spending. This combination is putting growing pressure on small entrepreneurs, who are struggling to maintain sales and profits amid difficult economic conditions.
Small businesses play an important role in the national economy by creating employment and supporting livelihoods. However, without adequate assistance, many entrepreneurs may find it increasingly difficult to sustain their operations. The government should therefore provide affordable financing and practical support to help small businesses overcome these challenges and remains competitive.
Supporting small entrepreneurs during periods of economic hardship is not merely a matter of helping individual businesses; it is also an investment in employment and economic stability. A resilient small-business sector can contribute to a stronger and more inclusive economy.
