7-year-old boy allegedly abducted from home

A seven-year-old boy was allegedly taken from his home by a group of four to five people in the early hours of Tuesday in West Bhadoi Bonder Bari area of Habiganj Sadar upazila.

The incident reportedly took place around 3:00am on October 13, leaving the boy’s mother distraught.

The missing child, Sani, is the son of the late Jahangir Mia and a resident of the area. According to his family, the group entered their home under the cover of darkness and took him away.

The identities of those allegedly involved and the motive behind the incident remain unknown.

Sani’s uncle, Farhad, said the family was searching for the boy and had informed local elders about the incident. However, no complaint had been lodged with the police as of the latest update.

Several attempts to contact Habiganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Zahidul Haque by phone for comment went unanswered.
