Nazrul Islam Azad provides aid to 37 Durga Puja temples

Financial assistance from government and personal funds has been provided to 37 temples in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj on the occasion of Durga Puja 2026.

The assistance was distributed at a programme held at Araihazar Auditorium on Friday evening.

Narayanganj-2 lawmaker Nazrul Islam Azad attended the programme as the chief guest, while Araihazar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Asadur Rahman chaired it. Upazila BNP President Yusuf Ali Bhuiyan was the chief speaker, and Upazila BNP General Secretary Jewel Ahmed Jewel moderated the event.

Organised by the upazila administration and upazila BNP, the programme saw representatives of the 37 temples receive financial assistance for Durga Puja celebrations.

Organisers said the support was intended to help the temples hold religious ceremonies smoothly and ensure the peaceful celebration of the festival.
