Nusrat faces online backlash over Durga Puja celebrations

Indian Bengali actress Nusrat Jahan has faced online criticism after sharing photos and videos of herself playing drums and dancing during Durga Puja celebrations in Kolkata with her husband, actor Yash.

On Saturday (October 17), the couple visited several temples on the occasion of Maha Shashthi. Videos showed Nusrat playing traditional drums at one temple and dancing to their beats at another.

Her social media posts triggered criticism from some users, who questioned her participation in the Hindu festival because she follows Islam. Some commenters also made personal remarks about her religious identity.
