Thierry Henry to host Ballon d’Or ceremony

French football legend Thierry Henry and British sports presenter Kate Scott will host the 70th Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on Monday (October 26), bringing together some of the biggest names in world football.

The ceremony will take place at the London Palladium, marking the first time the prestigious individual football awards event has been held in the British capital. The 2026 edition also marks the 70th anniversary of the award, which was established by 'France Football' in 1956.

Henry, a World Cup winner with France in 1998, received nine Ballon d’Or nominations during his playing career. His best result came in 2003, when he finished second behind Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved. He also won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2009.

Scott, a prominent British sports journalist, regularly works alongside Henry on CBS Sports’ Champions League coverage. The pair are known for their on-screen chemistry and will jointly present the ceremony.
