Proposal to rename Noor Mohammad College

The Education Ministry has proposed renaming Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College in Dhaka as Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad BGB Public College.

The ministry has also proposed renaming Hasil Higher Secondary School in Jamalpur as Engineer Mohammad Nurul Islam Higher Secondary School.

The Secondary and Higher Education Division has issued two separate letters directing the authorities concerned to inspect the institutions and submit comprehensive reports with clear opinions and justifications for the proposed name changes.

The proposals will be reviewed under Clause 14.5 of the government’s policy on the establishment, teaching and academic recognition of private educational institutions, issued in 2023.
