Security beefed up for Thakurgaon by-election

Twenty-one platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed to maintain law and order during the by-election in the Thakurgaon-1 constituency.

As part of its routine election-related activities, BGB personnel set up a checkpoint in the Aparajoy 71 area of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila on Monday morning and searched various vehicles.
