Jamaat long march bus hits pedestrian, kills one, injures several

A pedestrian was killed and 20–30 Jamaat-e-Islami activists were injured after a bus carrying participants of the 11-party alliance's long march crashed into a roadside ditch in Satkhira on Saturday night.

The accident occurred around 8:30PM on Saturday (October 31) at Charabottola on the Khulna-Satkhira highway in Patkelghata.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Khaleque Mondal, 65. The bus hit him while he was crossing the road before plunging into a roadside ditch.

The bus driver was also seriously injured, while other passengers sustained minor injuries.
