Jaaz Multimedia has unveiled the first official poster of its upcoming film Janowar – The Beast after years of delays.
Directed by Zahid Jewel, the film's production was stalled mainly due to difficulties in finding trained local dogs, which feature in nearly 70 per cent of the movie.
Jaaz Multimedia even announced a Tk 1 lakh reward for providing 10 trained local dogs, but the search initially proved unsuccessful.
The project was revived after a meeting between the director and the production house during the last Eid-ul-Azha. The film will feature newcomers in the lead roles, selected after four months of searching.
Set between 1965 and 1990, the film will use AI and VFX to recreate historical settings, including the 1965 Sadarghat jetty.
Around 150 actors are part of the film. Jaaz Multimedia said the lead actors will be officially introduced soon.
