Change at the top of SRB

Additional Inspector General of Police Faruk Ahmed has been appointed as the new chief of the Special Reserve Battalion (SRB), replacing Ahsan Habib Palash, who has been transferred to the Police Headquarters.

The decision was announced in a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday (November 3). The notification was signed by Deputy Secretary Towsif Ahmed.

Under the reshuffle, Additional IGP Syedur Rahman of Police Headquarters has been transferred to the Highway Police, while Additional IGP Gazi Jasim Uddin of Industrial Police has been posted to the Police Telecom Organisation in Rajarbagh.

Police Commissioner Israel Howlader has been transferred to the Industrial Police, DIG Ashik Said of Rajshahi Range has been appointed as the new Gazipur Police Commissioner, and Railway Police DIG Mir Ashraf Ali has been transferred to Rajshahi Range as DIG.
