Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) is set to introduce major changes to its upcoming recruitment examination process.
Unlike previous cycles where tests were conducted strictly to verify candidate eligibility for registration, the forthcoming exam will lead directly to job placements. Consequently, rather than being designated as the 19th teacher registration exam, it will be categorized as the 9th teacher recruitment exam.
Sources within NTRCA indicate that the 9th teacher recruitment exam may take place in December. The authority plans to schedule the tests following the conclusion of ongoing viva-voce examinations for institution heads and assistant heads, which are scheduled to end on 9 December. Final decisions regarding the exam schedule remain subject to approval from the Ministry of Education.
The advertisement for the previous 18th teacher registration exam was issued on 4 November 2023, followed by the preliminary test in March 2024. Preparations are now underway to launch the new recruitment drive following the extended break.
