Won't let fascists' daydreams come true: State Minister

State Minister for Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad has said the government will not allow the dreams of those responsible for the July 2024 violence to become reality.

“Our message is clear. We will not allow the daydreams of the autocrats and fascists who spilled blood, blinded and paralysed our people in July 2024 to come true,” he said.

He made the remarks at a discussion organised by the district administration at Panchagarh Government Auditorium on Saturday (November 7), marking National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

The state minister said those responsible for the violence had shown no remorse or change and were once again dreaming of returning to Bangladesh's politics.

Recalling the Liberation War, he praised Ziaur Rahman for declaring independence from the Kalurghat Betar Kendra in Chattogram in 1971.
