Bangladesh mission marks Nov 7 in Kolkata

The Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata observed National Revolution and Solidarity Day 2026 with due solemnity on Saturday (November 7).

The programme began with the hoisting of the national flag by Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner Md Khaled, followed by a discussion meeting, reading of messages from the President and Prime Minister, and a documentary screening on the historical significance of the day.

Speakers highlighted the importance of November 7 and its role in the country's history.

In his concluding remarks, Md Khaled described the day as a source of inspiration for national unity and called on everyone to work together to build a new Bangladesh.

Officials and employees of the Deputy High Commission, representatives of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Sonali Bank, and invited guests attended the programme.
