Pakistan and Bhutan face do-or-die clashes in separate SAFF Championship fixtures on Sunday (November 8), as both sides look to keep their semi-final hopes alive.
Bhutan, who lost 1-0 to Bangladesh in their opening match, will take on Sri Lanka at 8PM, while Pakistan, beaten 3-2 by India, will face the Maldives at 3:30PM. Both matches will be televised live on T Sports.
A defeat against Sri Lanka would end Bhutan's semi-final hopes, while Pakistan also need a victory to stay in contention in Group B. Sri Lanka and the Maldives will begin their respective campaigns with Sunday's matches.
Maldives head coach Istvan Urbanyi described the Pakistan clash as a final, saying his team had been preparing for the encounter from day one.
"Our entire focus is on Pakistan. We are not thinking about any other match," he said.
