The 10th International Fire, Safety and Security Expo (IFSSE) 2026 will be held in the capital from November 26 to 28. The three-day exhibition will take place at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC), organised by the Electronic Safety and Security Association of Bangladesh (ESSAB). It will remain open to visitors from 10:00am to 8:00pm every day.

ESSAB disclosed the information at a press conference held at the Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club on Saturday.

Organisers said more than 120 companies from over 20 countries would participate in this year's exhibition, which is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors. Modern technologies and solutions from over 13 product and service categories in the fire, safety and security sectors will be showcased.

Alongside the exhibition, five specialised seminars will be organised with the participation of local and international experts. More than 25 speakers will discuss modern security technologies, risk management, international standards and best practices, industrial and infrastructure safety, and future security management.

Lieutenant Colonel Md Mahmudul Hasan, PSC, Director (Operations and Maintenance) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Directorate, attended the press conference as the chief guest. He highlighted the importance of coordination and cooperation among stakeholders to improve fire safety and raise public awareness in the country.

ESSAB Secretary General Naim Uddin Mahmud delivered the welcome address, while Joint Secretary General Mohammad Shahidul Islam Khan made the introductory remarks. ESSAB Director Md Habibur Rahman Helal delivered the concluding remarks.

ESSAB President Squadron Leader M Didarul Islam (Retd) said the 10th edition was being organised following the successful completion of nine previous editions of the International Fire, Safety and Security Expo.

He said an average of 11,000 to 12,000 visitors attended previous editions each year, while more than 3,000 people participated in various seminars and knowledge-sharing activities. Companies, technology providers and experts from around 25 to 30 countries had also participated in the events over the years.

Engineers, architects, security professionals, entrepreneurs, students and industry representatives will have the opportunity to attend the five specialised seminars, where discussions will focus on technological innovations, international safety standards, risk management and effective solutions for protecting industries and infrastructure.
