
BAGHA, RAJSHAHI, Jan 21: The election for the Rajshahi-6 (Bagha-Charghat) constituency for the 13th national parliament election is scheduled for the upcoming 12th February. On Wednesday, symbols were allotted among the four MP candidates.
It is known that the Rajshahi-6 constituency comprises Bagha and Charghat upazilas.
Among the four candidates for MP in this constituency, the symbols allotted are as follows: Abu Saeed Chand (Sheaf of Paddy), Convener of Rajshahi District BNP and a member of its Central Committee; Principal Nazmul Haque (Scale), nominated candidate of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami; Iqbal Hossain (Plough), former member secretary of the District Jatiya Party; and Abdus Salam Suruj (Hand Fan), nominated candidate of Islami Andolan Bangladesh and Secretary of the District Committee's Freedom Fighter Affairs and Vice-President of Bagha Upazila Committee.
The matter was confirmed by Shammy Akter, Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Bagha.
The total number of voters in this constituency is 304,275. Among them, there are 151,687 female voters and 152,588 male voters.
