Save our rivers from industrial waste

Dear Sir,

Uncontrolled industrial waste discharge has become a serious threat to our country's rivers. Rivers such as the Buriganga, Shitalakkhya, Turag and Karnaphuli are increasingly polluted due to unplanned industrialization. Many factories release chemical waste directly into rivers without proper treatment, damaging ecosystems.

Communities living near rivers face rising cases of skin diseases, diarrhea and waterborne illnesses. Although environmental laws require factories to install effluent treatment plants, these are often poorly implemented.

Immediate action is needed to control industrial waste and enforce strict penalties for polluters. Protecting rivers ensures a safe environment and secures the nation's future.
