Polling underway peacefully at Mohammadpur Girls’ High School

Voting is progressing smoothly at the Mohammadpur Girls’ High School polling centre on Nurjahan Road in the capital, with the law and order situation remaining normal.

The main contenders in the constituency are Bobby Hajjaj, contesting with the “sheaf of paddy” symbol and Mamunul Haque, contesting with the “rickshaw” symbol.

Election officials said agents of the candidates are present at every booth. Voter turnout has been increasing gradually as the day progresses, they added.
