Nilphamari-2 MP inspects hospital, joins cleanliness effort

NILPHAMARI, Feb 25: Nilphamari-2 MP and District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Advocate Al Faruk Abdul Latif led a cleanliness drive at the 250-bed Nilphamari General Hospital on Wednesday and inspected various hospital departments.

In the morning, party leaders and activists from Jamaat-Shibir participated in the cleanliness campaign under the MP's leadership. Advocate Al Faruk Abdul Latif personally took up a broom and began cleaning different areas of the hospital.

He was accompanied by District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Professor Anwarul Islam, City Branch Naib-e-Ameer Mohammad Musha, Assistant Secretary Hafizur Rahman, and Executive Committee members Maulana Mokarram Hossain and Maulana Abdul Salam, among others.

The programme also saw participation from Nilphamari Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdur Razzak, hospital in-charge Abdullah Hel Mafi, Residential Medical Officer Atikur Rahman, and pediatric specialist Dr. Abdul Awal.

After the cleanliness drive, the newly elected MP toured various hospital departments, interacting with doctors, staff, patients, and their relatives.

Speaking to journalists, Advocate Al Faruk Abdul Latif said the program was initiated to create a clean and hygienic city and hospital environment. "This is not a one-day program; such activities will continue on a regular basis," he added.
