Wife to die for killing husband in Bhola

BHOLA, Aug 18: Judge Md Enayet Ullah of the Additional District and Sessions Judge Court of Bhola on Tuesday afternoon has sentenced the main accused, second wife Nurunnahar Begum, to death and also fined Tk 50,000 for killing her husband and dismembering his body.

According to the case source, Farhad Hossain Titu, 40, was called to the house of Nurunnahar Begum on the night of October 23, 2021, and his bloody body with injury marks was recovered from that house in Alinagar Union of Bhola Sadar Upazila the next morning.

In this incident, the deceased’s first wife Mahmuda Begum filed a murder case against six people, including Nurunnahar Begum. However, after investigation, the police stated that no evidence was found against the other five accused. 

Nurunnahar Begum who was in jail for a long time during the trial of the case was later released on bail. On the last day of the hearing, the court ordered her to be sent back to jail.
