LAXMIPUR, Mar 6: The Cumilla Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has suspended the teaching and academic recognition of four colleges in Laxmipur due to poor HSC results.
The information was confirmed in a notice signed by Professor Runa Nasrin, the Controller of Examinations for the Cumilla Education Board.
The notice was issued on Friday (March 6). Additionally, the directive includes three colleges in Brahmanbaria, two in Chandpur, and four in Cumilla.
The colleges in Laxmipur are: Torabganj High School and College in Kamalnagar Upazila, Toha Smrity Girls' High School and College, Seba Gram Fazlur Rahman School and College in Ramgati Upazila, and Cambridge City College in Laxmipur Sadar.
The notice stated that the results of institutions with a pass rate between zero and five per cent in the 2025 HSC examination are unsatisfactory. Consequently, a meeting of the examination committee, chaired by the Cumilla Education Board Chairman on January 7, decided to suspend the Class XI teaching and academic recognition of 13 institutions.
