Prime Minister Tarique Rahman continued to carry out official responsibilities from his Gulshan Avenue residence on Wednesday, staying actively engaged in government affairs during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
According to his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon, the Prime Minister is closely monitoring the overall situation across the country while handling urgent work from home. He has been regularly reviewing the progress of canal excavation programmes and coordinating with relevant ministers to ensure proper supervision.
He has also communicated with mayors and administrators of various city corporations, urging them to maintain cleanliness throughout the holiday period.
Additionally, he has sought updates from ministers and state ministers regarding Eid travel conditions.
Despite the public holiday on Tuesday, the Prime Minister attended the Secretariat, where he chaired a Cabinet meeting and a meeting of the Farmers’ Card implementation committee.
The Eid holiday began on Tuesday and will continue until March 23, with Eid-ul-Fitr expected to be celebrated on Friday or Saturday, subject to moon sighting.
