Elderly woman's body recovered in Ctg

Police recovered the body of an elderly woman from a pond in Chattogram’s Hathazari upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Bibi Ayesha, 80, wife of late Abu Samad, a resident of ward no 2 of Mirzapur union in the upazila.

According to locals, they saw a floating body on the pond and informed police.

Being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body.

The deceased's son, Manjurul Alam, said that his mother had been suffering from epilepsy for a long time. She may have died after falling into the pond.
