PM to lead Int'l Workers' Day rally on May 1

BNP is preparing to hold a large rally in Dhaka on May 1 to mark International Workers' Day, Tarique Rahman, who is also the Prime Minister and Chairman of BNP, will attend the rally as the chief guest.

On Friday, the Workers' wings of the party held a meeting with leaders of various labor unions to discuss preparations for the May Day program. The meeting took place from 4:50 pm to 5:20 pm. 

After the meeting, leaders announced at a joint press conference that a grand rally will be held in Dhaka on May 1. They expressed hope that the event will become a historic gathering.

He said not even one percent of workers are organized at present.
