The government has transferred 39 high-ranking police officials, including the appointment of new Superintendents of Police (SP) in 12 districts.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued two separate notifications on Tuesday detailing the changes.

The reshuffle includes officers holding the ranks of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Additional Deputy Inspector General, and Superintendent of Police (SP).

While the government frequently reshuffles the police force for administrative reasons, the scale of this latest order highlights an ongoing effort to reorganize local law enforcement across the country.

The newly appointed district SPs are expected to assume their duties shortly.
