Four more children have died of measles like symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, total 835 children have died from measles and its symptoms over the past four months since March 15.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in a report on measles on Thursday.
Among the four children who died in the last 24 hours, two were from Dhaka division, and one each was from Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions.
During the same 24-hour period, 1,005 children were infected with measles and its symptoms. Among them, measles was confirmed in 135 children. Over the last four months since March 15, a total of 1,43,140 children have been infected with measles and its symptoms.
According to DGHS data, 1,10,182 children have been admitted to hospitals with measles symptoms since March 15 this year. Among them, 1,06,053 children have recovered and returned home.
