Kadamtali foam factory fire brought under control

Firefighters have brought under control the blaze that broke out at a foam factory in Dhaka’s Kadamtali area on Friday evening.

According to Fire Service duty officer Rozina Akter, the fire was contained at around 9:05pm after five firefighting units worked for more than two hours to control the flames.

Officials said the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be immediately determined. No casualties have been reported so far.

The Fire Service received the first report of the fire at 6:24 PM and quickly dispatched units to the scene to begin rescue and containment operations.
